Option 1 (preferred) Wet Method

So you’ve bought your Wheelie Cool stickers. We knew you would, ya legend.

We strongly recommend the wet method — it’s hands down the best way to apply them. A quick spray of water with a drop of detergent lets you slide the stickers into position easily, smooth out bubbles, and avoid creases. Once they dry, they’ll stick firm and look perfect.

These things are super sticky, so going on dry can make repositioning a nightmare. Trust us — wet is best.

What You’ll Need:

  • Spray bottle (or a bowl of water)

  • Water (room temperature from the tap, bottled if you're balling)

  • Dishwashing liquid (just a drop or two, don't go wild)

  • Clean cloth or paper towel

  • Squeegee or credit card

  • Your Wheelie Cool stickers

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Mix the Solution

    • Fill a spray bottle with 1 cup of water (alternatively, use a bowl)

    • Add 1–2 drops of dishwashing liquid (don’t overdo it. Too much soap can affect adhesion).

  2. Clean the Surface

    • Wipe down your wheelie bin with a clean cloth.

    • Remove all dust, grease, wax, kebab oil - whatever you've been hoofing at th bin that hasn't quite made it in —these can interfere with the sticker sticking properly.

  3. Test Fit the Sticker

    • Before peeling anything, position the sticker to see where it’ll go. Nothing worse than crooked stumps or an upside down bird.

    • You can even mark the corners lightly with masking tape if you really want precision

  4. Spray the Wheelie Bin Surface (or use a damp cloth)

    • Mist the bin area generously with your soap-water mix.

  5. Apply the Sticker

    • Peel the backing off the Wheelie Cool sticker.

    • Lightly spray the adhesive side of the sticker too.

    • Place the sticker onto the wet surface of the wheelie bin.

    • You’ll be able to slide it around and reposition it easily!

  6. Squeegee Out the Water

    • Starting from the centre, gently press outward using a squeegee or credit card. Start from the top of the stumps and work your way down.

    • Push out all water and air bubbles.

    • Be gentle folks! Pressing too hard can damage the ink or vinyl.

  7. Let It Set

    • Leave the sticker to dry 30 minutes, then come back out and squeegee out any remaining water that you might have missed.

    • Let it dry for a few hours. Once dry, you're ready to play!
